BriefKOIN intends to design and produce a commemorative medal to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the moon landing. They require a premium box to contain and present the medallion.Our processWe explored several elements of the moon landing, the moon and NASA hardware, using the size of the coin as a guide to structure and shape.Conclusion:We presented a design based around a paper pulp molded moon dome, with hydrographic print detail of the surface, which acted as protective barrier and on-shelf glorifier. The packaging serves as a collectable second-use container with metal cladding and robust fitments, which will stand the test of time.
