BriefWe were tasked to come up with some conceptual designs for Linn products’ limited edition Series 3 Wireless Speaker. The main challenge was producing packaging which would withstand rigorous transit and drop testing, and would provide a premium unveiling experience to the end user.Our processOur process started with market research and reviewing materials used by the client in earlier iterations. We focused on sustainability of the concept, using recyclable and recycled materials wherever possible. The engineering challenge of protecting the 7kg speaker in transit, whilst providing an eloquent reveal lead to the incorporation of leather strap closures.
